Image Resizer questions
Is this image resizer free?
Yes. The Image Resizer is free to use and does not require a sign-up on the tool page.
Does the image get uploaded?
The resize operation is designed to run in the browser using Canvas. The tool does not need to upload the image to the Worker just to resize it.
Which image formats can I resize?
JPG, PNG and WebP are the safest choices. Other browser-readable formats can work too, depending on the browser. Animated GIFs are processed as a single frame.
How do I resize without stretching the image?
Leave Keep aspect ratio switched on. When you change the width, the height is recalculated automatically, and vice versa.
Can I make an image larger?
Yes. You can increase the pixel dimensions or use a percentage above 100%, although enlarging a small source image cannot create missing detail and may look softer.
